Configuring EZproxy server to allow userObject support

1. Install or upgrade EZproxy 5.1c
2. Obtain a unique WSkey (contact Jeff Greer for preassigned WSkey greerj@oclc.org)
3. Obtain a Group Registry ID (Jeff Greer greerj@oclc.org)

  • This ID number will be entered in the following directive as described below 
 Set session:groupNumber = XXXXX

4. Obtain your local Institution Registry ID (Jeff Greer greerj@oclc.org)

  • This ID number will be entered in the following directive as described below 
 Set session:instNumber = XXXXX

5. Add the following directives to the config.txt 

 Option UserObject
 LocalWSKey (value-from-step-2)
 RedirectSafe proxy.vdxhost.com 
 RedirectSafe oclc.org

6. Start/Restart EZproxy
7. Add pertinent details to the user.txt.
